Since 2017, Friends of North Olmsted Parks & Recreation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization has been dedicated to supporting the mission of the North Olmsted Parks & Recreation.
Our North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Department is hard at work creating memories for all who visit. We would like to assist them with their mission of providing the opportunity for memorable recreational experiences that promote health, socialization, and sportsmanship through quality programs and facility. In order to help them achieve those goals, we would like your help. Together we can achieve greatness.
Friends work hand in hand with the Parks and Recreation Department, other outside groups, and individuals to make improvements to Parks and Recreation. We assist in sponsoring and volunteering for special events throughout the City. We raise funds to support many of the recreation departments programs and events.
The Parks in North Olmsted are alive with energy. From greenspace to game play, the parks bring smiles to all that visit. The recreation center is a North Olmsted staple that has seen a revitalization in the past few years.
More information coming soon.
North Olmsted Forestry has a multi – year plan of planting new trees at North Olmsted Community Park. We have partnered with the City’s Forestry and Parks & Recreation to create a tree memorial program.
Through this program, a pre-existing tree, in a designated park may be purchased. With a $100 donation, a personalized plaque will be placed under or on an existing tree in a city park. All donations must be paid in cash or check, made payable to Friends of North Olmsted Parks and Recreation.
