Council President Lou Brossard has served the City and our residents on City Council for 15 years. In addition to serving as President of Council, he also served as the Ward 1 Councilman, during which time he served as Chair or Vice-Chair on all City Council Committees.
Council President Brossard has called North Olmsted home for 30 years and has been active in our community in some capacity for all 30 of those years. Prior to beginning his City Council service, Lou served as the President of the Sandy Ridge Homeowners Association, was a member of the City’s Charter Review Commission, and a member of North Olmsted’s Master Plan Committee. Lou was a volunteer coach for the North Olmsted Hot Stove baseball and softball teams, and for St. Brendan’s CYO basketball teams, as well.
Council President Brossard has been happily married to his wife Joni for 32+ years. Together they raised three wonderful children: Nicholas, Devyn, and the late Brenna Brossard.
In addition to being active members of St. Brendan Parish, Lou and his family remain fiercely committed to bringing advocacy and awareness around epilepsy and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) to Northeast Ohio. As such, Lou serves on the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Association of Cleveland
