I-480 West Southbound Ramp Closure Starts On May 28

Beginning on May 28, 2024 for approximately four weeks, the southbound off ramp of I-480 westbound at Great Northern Boulevard will be closed for repairs. This is part of the ongoing ODOT bridge repairs taking place on the Great Northern Bridge. This closure will only affect the southbound off ramp. All other on-and-off ramps will remain open, as will the bridge during this construction. The purpose of the closure is to do work on the bridge's expansion joint, part of which runs through the ramp.

There will be two potential detours for those needing to head southbound on Great Northern Boulevard. The first option is for motorists to continue on I-480 westbound and exit at Stearns Road, get on I-480 eastbound and use the I-480 eastbound off-ramp at Great Northern Boulevard. The second option is for motorists to exit at Clague Road, and follow Clague to Brookpark Road to Great Northern Boulevard. Both detour options are pictured below.
